Let’s talk for a moment about pre-qualifications and pre-approvals.

There’s a pretty big difference between the two.

A pre-qualification is when you reach out to a loan officer, give them permission to pull your credit and talk to them about your debt and your income.

A pre-approval requires a little more work, but it will also flush out all the necessary details so you can feel confident in actually moving forward to purchasing a home with success.

Pre-approvals require the lender to gather data from you, get paperwork for verification, verifying all your important details and history and then finally full approval.

One last important thing to consider is that once you are approved, the house still needs to be approved which includes checking the title and the value. I will talk about that process in another video.
